Annotations let the host and co-host leave timestamped comments directly on a video while it’s being presented in the room — marking a specific moment for review, feedback, or discussion without breaking the flow of the session. Annotations are currently supported for video only.

Adding an Annotation

Annotations are added while a video is presenting in the room, using the annotations icon on the playback bar.

Present a video in the room.

On the playback bar, click the annotations icon.

A text input opens directly under the playback bar. Your annotation is also added to the video's Details page, under the Annotations section.

Pause the video at the exact point you want to comment on.

Write your comment, then press Enter to post it.

Where Annotations Appear

Every annotation you post appears as a comment in the Annotations section of the video’s Details page. Each comment shows:
  • The timestamp in the video where the annotation was made
  • The name of the person who posted it
  • The comment text
  • A Reply button

Editing & Deleting

Each annotation has a menu with options to edit or delete it.
  • Edit — updates the comment text in place.
  • Delete — removes the annotation from the list.

Comment Count in the Files Tab

You don’t need to open a video to know if it has annotations on it. The video’s thumbnail in the Files tab shows the number of comments on it, so you can spot which files have open feedback at a glance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Only the host and co-host can add annotations. Participants cannot.
Video only, for the moment. Annotations are added while the video is presenting in the room.
Yes — pause at the exact moment you want to reference, write your comment, then press Enter. The annotation is tied to the video’s paused position. 
Open the video’s Details page and go to the Annotations section — every comment is listed there with its timestamp, author, and reply button.
Check the Files tab — the video’s thumbnail shows the number of comments on it.
Yes — use the menu on the comment to edit or delete it.
No — it requires a Silver or Gold license. It isn’t available on Basic.
