# Playlist Tab

The Playlist tab lets the host and co-host queue up multiple media items and present them in sequence, without stopping and restarting a broadcast between each one. It's built for sessions with a lineup of content to get through — a set of clips, a sequence of images, or any run of files you want to move through in order.

The Playlist tab lives in the Side Panel and is available in-room only — it isn't accessible from the homepage. Unlike Files or Appearance, the Playlist icon is **host and co-host only**: participants don't see it in their Side Panel at all.

## **List & Contents Views**

The Playlist tab has two views. You land on the list view first; opening a playlist switches you to the contents view for that playlist.

## **Managing Playlists**

Everything in this section happens in the Playlist List view — the landing screen before you open a specific playlist.

### **Create a playlist**

### **Search and sort**

Use the search field to filter playlists by name. Use the sort control to change the order playlists appear in the list.

### **Rename a playlist**

### **Delete playlists**

Delete one playlist at a time from its card, or switch on multi-select in the header to pick several and delete them together.

* Deleting always opens a confirmation dialog first — there's no undo once confirmed.
* **Deleting the playlist that's currently playing** stops playback immediately and returns you to the Playlist List.

## **Adding & Organizing Media**

Open any playlist card to enter its Contents view. This is where you build out what actually plays.

### **Add media to a playlist**

Open the add menu inside the Contents view. Three ways to add items:

  Paste a link and confirm to add it directly to the playlist. Uses the same URL ingestion as the Files tab.

  Opens your OS file picker. The file uploads to the Files tab, and is inserted into the playlist.

<Card title="Add from Media Folder" horizontal>
  Opens a picker showing everything already in the room's media library.

  * Picking from the library does **not** duplicate the file — the playlist references the same media.

  You don't have to build a playlist entirely from within the Playlist tab. The Files tab has its own shortcut for it.

  Right-click (or use the context menu on) any item in the Files tab and choose **Add to Playlist** or **Create Playlist** to send it straight into an existing or new playlist — without leaving the Files tab.

### **Reorder items**

Drag any row in the media list to a new position. The custom order is saved as soon as you drop it, and applies for everyone in the room.

### **Remove an item**

Highlight an item and use the remove control, or use the per-row remove button. This removes the item from the **playlist only** — it stays in the room's media library and isn't deleted.

## **Present a Playlist**

Playback is controlled from the Contents view, with a compact controller that follows you into the room overlay once something's playing.

### **Start and stop**

Click Play at the top of the tab or click the play control next to any file to start the presentation from there.

  While a playlist is active, a compact controller appears over the room presentation itself — so you don't need to keep the Side Panel open to skip through items.
