# Dialing Out to a Phone Number

Dialing out lets a host or co-host call a phone number directly into the room, so someone without a device or a link can still join by phone.

Dial-out entries are added from the Participants tab in the Side Panel. You can call a number right away, or register it to call later. Either way, the number shows up as a row in the participant list, and its status updates as the call rings, connects, or ends.

## **Before you start**

Dial-out only appears when the room supports it.

  **Dial-in must be enabled for the room.** If dial-in isn't turned on, the dial-out option is hidden from the Participants tab entirely. Contact [sales@coresee.com](mailto:sales@coresee.com) to get the option on your account.

## **How to dial out**

Add the number, then choose whether to call it immediately or save it for later.

## **Managing an active call**

Once a number is in the participant list, calling or ending the call is a single click away — no need to re-enter the number.

## Common Scenarios

  Add their number in the Dial-out pane and use **Call Now**. The row will show **RINGING** until they pick up.

  Use **Call Later** to register the number ahead of time. It sits in the participant list as absent — call it with a single click whenever you're ready, without re-typing anything.

  The row settles to a callable state once the call goes down. Click the phone icon on that row again to redial — there's no need to re-enter the number.

  You can call or hang up on any number already in the participant list, but you can't add a brand-new number yourself. Ask the host or a full co-host to add it first — after that, you can manage the call.
